The stadium, which cost $325 million to build, was funded entirely by the Kraft family through private means. It featured cutting-edge locker rooms, luxury suites, and a top-tier broadcasting setup. Most importantly, it established the groundwork for New England to host events that would boost its reputation in the national sports scene.

Dominance in the NFL and MLS

Gillette Stadium rapidly earned a reputation for excellence, largely thanks to the sensational success of the New England Patriots. With coach Bill Belichick and Tom Brady leading the way, the team made the stadium their home turf, a tough place to beat. Between 2002 and 2019, the Patriots made it to nine Super Bowls, winning six. The stadium hosted plenty of AFC Championship games and became the site of some truly unforgettable, historic postseason showdowns in the NFL.

The stadium also hosts the New England Revolution, one of the very first clubs in Major League Soccer.
